Sturtevant Richmont Global 400 / 400mp Torque Process Monitor

FM 2.4 GHz XBee

Wireless Error Proofing System

The Global 400 performs as a station dedicated process controller that organizes, directs workers, tools, and tasks. It also brings a powerful networking capability not previously available in the Global 8 and the Global 100 series.

Mixed Model Manufacturing Mandates Flexibility

Sturtevant Richmont specializes in solving the most complex assembly challenges. The Global 400 is designed to organize work stations where highly customized products are assembled. It can work with 16 primary torque tools, 8 holding tools, and an additional 8 I/O tools. It has the capacity for 100 sets of parameters that can be grouped allowing 4 operators to work as a team. These parameters or groups can be formed into jobs containing a fixed build sequence of put to 35 steps.

Mixed Model Manufacturing Mandates Communication

The Global 400 communicates with the operators, the tools, and your network in multiple ways. Parameters or jobs can be assigned via the Ethernet or by the operator via a bar code scanner. Tools can be selected or programmed wirelessly, while the controller displays the required work to the operator. As the operator works through their task, the tools and controller provide auditory, tactile, and visual guidance. The tools provide the controller with immediate notification of operator results. The controller stores up to 10,000 results in on-board memory, and automatically updates your production system via multipleprotocols. No production interruptions!

The "mp" Takes You To The Next Level

The Global 400mp distributes all the power, flexibility, ease and capabilities of the Global 400 over four (4) individual network interfaces. The result? Up to four (4) operators can work independently and don't even have to be in the same work cell. Four separate network interfaces and Global 400mp architecture eliminate the need for groups in order to support simultaneous work. Parameters are formed directly into jobs. With 4 network interfaces each operator can work on their own job, independant of the other operators. The Global 400mp can be applied to assembly, repair, and maintenance operations. The Global 400mp works with up to 16 torque tools, 8 holding tools and 8 I/O tools divided among the 4 network interfaces.

Optional Global Host Software

Global Host conslidates data from all torque tools in one place. It is easy to use and provides powerful business intelligence into your torque quality. Global Host runs over SQL Server.

  1. With Global Host,  you can consolidate all torque data from all torque tools into one database. That means DC Nut Runners too.
  2. Global Host is network failure agnostic. Because Global Host is subscribed to each controller and tool on the network, it constantly polls each element on the network and knows the status and count of each tool. If the network fails, work can continue. How is that work accounted for? Global Host looks at the history and notes that the last time there was communication, the tool had 93 fastenings in the history log. The current fastening count for that tool might now be 118. Global Host automatically pulls the data for fastenings 94 through 118 so the history log is completely up to date.
  3. Web-based reporting, anywhere in the network, is available in real-time. You can connect Global Host to a large display in your assembly area. You can also log in to see additional data that is not included on the display. You control what data is on your screen and in your reports. If you add an item to the reporting, the history is also included.
  4. Export to Excel, Power BI, Access, Tableau, or other programs to sort and parse data. There is additional data that you may not want visible on the display. This gives you powerful information about the state of your assembly processes and the tools that are being used.
  5. Auto-triggered print functionality, based group batch function so you can print a “digital birth certificate” for each assembly that you produce. You can use a variety of printers to print these labels. You can customize what information you want on any label.

You can try Global Host for free. Our free trial works for 24 hours and works for two tools and one controller. After twenty-four hours the data is erased and the free trial recycles. There is no limit on how long you can use the free trial. But remember, the trial only retains data for one day.
