Torque Checkers

The international standard (DIN) EN ISO 6789 is decisive for testing/calibrating hand-held torque tools, for example. According to this standard, a measuring device should be four times more accurate than the tool being tested. This means that a testing device with an accuracy of ± 1% can generally be used for signalling torque wrenches and screwdrivers (type II). However, for indicating torque wrenches and screwdrivers (type I), a measuring device with an accuracy of ± 0.5% or better would be required.
